Way Of Life.

Dancing is a way of life for me , just as writing is to some people, or basketball. Dance should come naturally with or without music. It's in the swing in your hips when you walk. It's in the way your shoulders move when you wave goodbye. It's in the way your fingers grip the wheel and in how you turn it. It's how you flip your hair without using your hands. It's innate. It's never learned. It's either you have it or you don't. They say all you need is rhythm. I say all you need is passion. P.S. This post came about because a friend still can't get over the fact that I can dance to Wolfgang's Center Of The Sun. Hehe. Wolfgang rules!

And then there were only 2.

We were called the Tres Kapitanas . We were bonded for life by our one true passion: dance. The 3 of us became captains of the CSB Pep Squad consecutively: Mayette came after me, and then Tricia. I was able to handle them both during my captain and trainor days. Our beliefs and ethics similar; execution always perfect, movements upbeat and self-assured. Then, 12 hours ago, Tricia, one of the truest friends I have, left for the US of A. For good. No more 'Lean Back' groove partner. I'll miss your kaputian. Sad, really. Dazed, Mayette and I spent the rest of the afternoon and early night in Megamall and Podium. I'm never good at goodbyes. Be safe, Tricia. Just do the rock-a-way.

Of Waves and Rhum Cokes Part II

Am back in the saddle. Oh yeah. Well, got back from our Bora trip a few days back. It was a blast. I've been going to Boracay every year, just missing it thrice, since 1996. But this trip was over the top. I mean, I was in Boracay, with some of my closest girl friends, I was miles away from all the confusion and loneliness... that was the life . It was all good naman. We went parasailing. Too bad I didn't take the cam with me sa taas. It was so quiet and peaceful up there. I could almost hear what Mayette was thinking. While we were up there, I took the time to pray . I mean, I was so close to heaven, I might as well grab the opportunity to whisper in His ear, right? Sobra yun. I'd definitely go parasailing again. Mayette and I were praying na sana magkaroon ng waves so we can surf sa Bora, but fat chance. Oh well. Cocomanga's was always packed with people. It was soooo hot inside that we were literally sweating. It was really great dancing with the girls again. The ...

Of Stoplights and Passion.

These pics were taken during the Stoplight party in Eastwood a couple of Saturdays ago, err, I think January 29. Say and Matt are 2 of the hosts of the show which is being shown in Channel 23, 3:30pm every Sundays [*ahem* *ahem* plugging...plugging]. I know, hindi kami mahilig sa pictures. Haha! Mga sabik talaga. We were also, hmm, sort of interviewed for the show but I wasn't able to watch last Sunday because Mayette and I were in La Union for our surfing bonding weekend. Yikes, must've looked awful. Hehehehe. Oh, which reminds me, I'll be posting pics of that La Union weekend soon, just have to upload pics from my cam. Anyway, I missed dancing with the pep girls. Graduate na kasi kami lahat so the only time we get to dance together is when we go to Dusk or any club. And the girls are great dancers so you can just imagine the chaos we bring to the dancefloor when we converge. I don't really go out to drink, contrary to what people think (I've been moderately dri...

No money but happy.

Who would ever thought that I could go out on a Saturday night, with only Php 300? I mean, sa totoo lang , if you go out nowadays, you'll spend around Php 500-1000. May inumin, pulutan, gas, at parking. Kailangan tiba-tiba ka kung aalis ka talaga. But lo and behold, when I met Mayette and Tricia at Sheila's party in Astoria, we found out that we were somewhat broke: Tricia had only Php5 in her bag, Mayette had Php20, and I had Php300. We were going to meet some friends later in the evening so we were discussing pano kami makakaraos sa gabing yun. Funny talaga. Anyway, we had to take Tricia home by 1am because she was going to attend a baptismal early Sunday morning, so our money decreased by 5 bucks. By 1:30am we were at Tiananmen in Makati Ave. We met Say, Norman, Maebelle, and Alvin. We weren't able to sit in the smoking section because it was consumable (Php1000... but with red wine... hooookay). We knew the others had money but we just settled dun sa non-smoking as ...
